Nothing says confidence and glamour like a classic red lip.
If you have been following me for a while now, you know my most prized beauty item is red lipstick. I honestly wear it with EVERYTHING! It’s a universal color that looks great on all skin tones, trust me don’t be scared girl. Back when I first started getting into lipsticks, MAC’s Ruby Woo was my first purchase and since then I’ve been hooked. Ruby Woo is always a great entry shade to anybody that wants to experiment with reds. I recommend it to all my friends and they all love it!
To me, a nice crimson pout just brightens up the skin, makes your teeth appear whiter and of course gives you a level of class and sophistication. My texture of choice is MATTES; they are long wearing, not going to transfer all over your face or have your hair stuck to your lips (y’all know the struggle). Mattes can be very drying and tricky to pull off without proper lip care which I will get into in another post 😉. Literally, I have tons of this scarlet magic in a tube; from high end to drug store, from blue base to yellow base, from mattes to glosses… basically I have a PhD in Red Lipsticks💄.
So since I’m a red lipstick hoarder, I thought it would be a good idea to do a try on video of my favorite red lippies! I teamed up with my friend Lauren from TheSpeedBrand to film this cute and fun video. This was my first time being recorded for the world to see so be easy on me guys. All jokes aside, this video turned out great and because of her great editing skills, I looked like a real beauty blogger!
