When I want a ridiculously extravagant pair of shoes, I find a way to buy them
With that being said, the Prada Monolith Boots was no expectation. I lusted over these boots for months if not a year but I just couldn’t press the button. $1400+ dollars for combat boots was something I just couldn’t justify. I tried to curve my craving by getting the Bottega Veneta Tire Boots in White which I did NOT find on sale. 🤦🏾♀️While I absolutely love my tire boots, I still kept searching ShopStyle and Google hoping to score a deal of a lifetime for my Prada Baes.
One night Saturday night, I was doing my usual Google searches of different luxury items I’ve been eyeing FINALLY, I struck gold. Cettire was having a sale and had the boots for $957.68, which is 34% off the current price of $1450 via Prada website. Now if you are not familiar with Cettire, they are an online luxury boutique that usually will have designer items up to 30% off retail. So with that, I hopped on ShopStyle app to search for a link because they work with Rakuten to offer cash back. If you are not familiar with ShopStyle, they are a shopping hub that work with designers and store all over the globe to help you locate the best price for whatever you are looking for. I will do a separate post on ShopStyle and Rakuten because they are amazing.
Anyway back to the boots…this particular day ShopStyle was offering Cettire purchases up to 14% cash back, so that gave me an extra $134.08 off. Ok that was a lot so let me recap, Prada retailed the boots for $1450 and Cettire had them on sale for $957.68. Using the Rekuten cash back link via Shopstyle, I was able to get an additional $134.08 off. So with my luck, I got scored $1450 pair of Prada Monolith boots for grand total of $823.60! Now Cettire didn’t include my duties and taxes in the total price so I had to pay an extra $97.49 BUT this was still much cheaper than retail plus taxes! I was so shocked I was able to find such a good deal, I don’t even remember checking out 🤣
Now the bad news is I found this deal last April 🥴 I know, I know, I suck at posting. I am working on it I promise 2022 be good to me! However, the key take away here is to have patience when trying to score a deal on luxury items. What I have learned is ALMOST everything goes on sale, you just have to have patience to wait and catch a deal i.e me not having patience and paying retail for my Tire Boots 😒 but did I say I love them?
