5 Essential Beauty Items

Coronavirus! Coronavirus! I’m telling you, s— is real! S— is gettin’ real!

Day 20 of self-quarantine sponsored by #Coronavirus and I am legit losing my mind in boredom. Who knew the day would come where we are forced to stay in doors and Tik Tok all day. I so desperately want to get dressed up and go to brunch with my friends yet I’m stuck in the house draped in yesterdays PJs drinking wine with my BFF via FaceTime. During our virtual outing, I told her bout the latest red lipstick I purchased at Target during my 80th Rona essential run and it got my mind wondering…if today was the last day stores are open, what 5 essential beauty items I am willing to risk it all for? After looking around my bathroom, I compiled a list of 5 items I CANNOT go all month without.

Olay Daily Facial Dry Cloths

Holy Grail Alert! Clean, glowy skin is a MUST especially if you’re going to take part in all the #RonaChallenges on IG all day. I don’t suffer from problem skin but I felt like I needed something more than Cetaphil. Also, felt like using a washcloth was a breeding ground for acne. No matter how often I changed them out or only used white face cloths,  I always got random pimple within days. These cloths are awesome because all you need is water to active the 5 in 1 foaming cleanser. Each cloth has a smooth side and a textured side which works out great for a quick daily exfoliant to rid dead skin. And the best part, once your done, just throw the cloth away. Genius!

Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil

Brows are the most important feature on your face and I take them very seriously…ask anybody I am sorta a brow god. There is absolutely no way I will go a day without my brows on fleek! With that being said, I have searched high and low for the best brow products and I can honestly say, “Mama I made it”. This pencil is LIFE! I already have pretty full brows naturally but this just takes them to the next level. The ultra fine tip gives me more control of product and allows me to apply the product exactly where I want it. I tend to outline underneath my brows to create a more fresh waxed look and then finish off by filling in the tail to make them appear fuller.

Aquaphor Advanced Therapy Ointment

I mean who really wants crusty, dry lips ever? I struggled with finding the right lip balm to deeply penetrate and moisturize my dry, cracked winter lips. With a quick Google search, this ointment came highly suggested and OMG does it really work! The problem I had with other lip balms is that it just sat on the skin and never really got absorbed, this is nothing like that. Within 5 mins of application, my lips feel kissably soft and supple without the greasy residue. This ointment is also prefect to wear under matte lipsticks to provide a moisture layer to prolong the wear of your favorite lippie throughout the day.

Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored

Ok so the next two items aren’t your typical essential beauty items but during a month long quarantine, you might need to go on a FaceTime date or have a Skype meeting for work (sadly) so I need to be ready for any scenario. As you guys know, I am a true red lipstick connoisseur, so it’s only natural to have a essential red lipstick in my top 5 Rona beauty items. I chose this red because the formula is BOOM! It’s matte yet not drying, I can eat with it on without wondering if it’s smearing all over my face and lastly, the color pay off is amazing! If you haven’t tried it yet, order it now! You ain’t got nothing else to do. Here’s a link to my review if you need more persuasion clickhere

 Fenty Beauty Bronzer

Last but certainly not least, we have my second most prized item (drumroll please) BRONZER. I know, I know…this isn’t considered “essential” but hear me out. I included bronzer because for one, red lipstick looks vibrant on tanned skin. Secondly, using bronzer around your cheekbones and forehead makes you appear more made up than you are which is a plus because who wants to waste foundation on a 10 min Skype meeting? Bronzer is always my go to on beach vacations because it’s so easy to use and give instant polished results. I chose the Fenty Beauty one because it has no shimmer so you can use it for everything (eyeshadow, contour, blush etc) and not look like a disco ball. Also, the color range is just unbeatable, most times I am stuck with bronzers that are too red or ones with too much shimmer. Who wants that?

Well, there we have it! My top 5 essential beauty items needed during our #Rona shutdown. Comment below and let me know what would your top 5 list would be. Stay safe and wash your hands!
